When will big people learn that spandex is not for everyone???

As I sit here at work, again, out of the corner of my eye I can see this fat woman (and I use woman loosely) squeezed into a spandex outfit. She looks like a damn pig in a blanket. Now, I'm not the skinniest or fattest person in the world, but I know what I should and should not wear.

In the past year I've gained 15 pounds, from a combination of changing birth control pills to combat my off the wall PMS and starting nursing school (and not knowing when to avoid the vending machines on the 3rd floor). All those pills did was make me even crazier, turn my face into a grease trap, and help me pack on a few pounds. Since then, I have gone back to the old pills, with the grease and weight gain only coming from the stresses of nursing school.

All of that aside, I've learned that there are certain times of the month where I CAN'T wear certain things because I'm so bloated. (I am one of the fortunate few that gains 10 pounds every month in water weight only to be reduced in half thanks to my pills). If I can learn what not to wear at certain times of the month, then big people can learn what NOT to wear ALL THE TIME.

Trying to squeeze your ass into pants you haven't been able to fit in since you were 10 does NOT look good. If I see another woman or man with their stomach severely hanging over their pants, I'm going to scream!!!!!!!!!

Women, it's time you learned that wearing the appropriate size actually makes you look smaller and better!

Disclaimer: I love all my friends big and small!!!!

  1. My motto is "Just because it's made in your size does NOT mean you have to wear it!"
