Something for Nothing

Unless you've been living under a rock the last day and a half, you all pretty much know that Obama won a Nobel PEACE Prize. I, like many other people out there, am in total disagreement with him receiving said prize. And before some of you jump to conclusions, I don't like him for reasons that have nothing to do with race. Let's not forget that his mother is white. By continually calling him black, you're denying half of who he is.

I fail to see how he got the Nobel Peace Prize when he hasn't done a damn thing to deserve it. Voting started just days after he was sworn in as President, so he hadn't had the time to actually do something to make him worthy. It is also important to note that solicitation for nominations for the prize went out in September...he hadn't even been elected as President at that time.

I read it somewhere in the last day and a half and I agree, he was basically awarded this prestigious award because he wasn't Bush. Give the man some time to actually do something and then honor him. The only thing I can see that he has done is put my unborn children in a world of debt from all these bailouts.

Sorry kids, but mom didn't vote for him...

  1. I hate politics with a passion these days. I agree that he shouldn't have gotten the award this soon. However, I don't think he's singlehandedly responsible for the national debt. Unfortunately America has to sink farther into debt to truly become debt-free. Thank years and years of mangled management and the lining of many rich pockets. Everyone has their work cut out for them and it won't be easy, so awarding him the Nobel prize is a bit premature, given nothing has really turned around just yet.

  2. I'm not saying he's responsible for the national debt singlehandedly, I'm saying by giving out BILLIONS of dollars of money we don't really have to fix the economy doesn't make it any easier for us to get out of debt. It will take time for the economy to recover, but I don't think that putting my unborn kids into such a massive amount of debt is what's best...
