M.I.A.

It's been a while since I last posted and tons of things have been going on. So, I guess I could fill you all in...

- I finally finished my 2nd semester of nursing school successfully. I guess the second time was a charm. I'm currently finishing the clinical aspect of the course, but that has been going by rather quickly for the most part.

-In May, Mike and I went to see our new nieces, Evalyn and Summer. We had tons of fun with them and can't wait to see them again. For a minute there, I seriously thought we were going to steal them both. That would've proven difficult because even if we had room in our bags for them, Southwest likes to fly the tiniest planes and they wouldn't have been too comfy. I sure wasn't, especially when I got my finger caught in the seatbelt and thought I was gonna have to fly that way home or delay our flight with my knack for getting injured these days.

- My nephew Ethan finished kindergarten last month and got 2 principals awards. We're all so very proud of him and can't wait to see what he succeeds at next. Currently he's playing baseball and seems to be enjoying it as the weeks go by. Last year he played T-ball, but this is their first year having a ball pitched to them, so he seems to be enjoying that more. He hits pretty well and seems to enjoy that more than being in the outfield.

- Last week I turned 30 and while most of my friends who are or have turned 30 dreaded it, I embraced it. Mike and I spent a loud night at the Beau Rivage, thanks to the nightclub that was going on down by the pool all night. We were looking to go relax and enjoy each others company, but that didn't happen. At any rate, I did have a nice birthday. My 20s are a time that while I'd like to forget them, I wouldn't change them for anything. My 20s were a time to grow and make mistakes and learn from them and hopefully my 30s will be 20x better. The way I see it is things can only get better from here.

So much more has happened, but I'll spare you the details. Hopefully I can post more frequently in the next couple of months before classes start in the fall and I get busy again. Until next time...
